Feather Picking

How can you tell if a bird is feather picking? I have 3 birds that are together, initially they were isolated from the rest b/c they were new, and are still isolated. Plus they also had lice/mites. I think I got a hold of that problem. There is one hen who is missing some feathers on her underside and around her butt area. Whenever I pick her up it seems that her feathers break off easy. Could one of the other birds that are w/ her be picking at her? The skin around her butt area is red. So, could that be an irritation to the feather picking. She has already gone thru her molt.

I'm not sure and hopefully others will help here but, I was told that brittle feathers is a sign of mites. Recheck and see if you have them cleared up. I'm not sure how long after clearing them up before the feathers become strong again.
