feather ridge on chick

I have some buff orps some have a feather ridge on their backs closer to the back half of their body. Is this normal with this breed?

Here they are out of the coop for the first time. They are with " The Man Chicken" Any guess on the age of the chicks. They were older chicks when I got them feed store had no idea of age. Thanks for the help

yes, if i understand correctly what you are asking, they do. i have some buff orpingtons.

this isnt the best picture, but it shows the ridge fairly well. and its very soft and fluffy!!

as for age, they look about the same age as mine when she was around 5 or 6 weeks old. hope this helps!
