I know how how anxious people can get in waiting to find out gender. Too bad they dont have egg ultra sounds. I usually just wait until i know for sure. But this time Im kinda curious.
As I under stand feather sexing can only be done with some breeds. Also read that it needs to be between a father that is a fast feathering breed X mom a slow feathering one. Well I am working on Olive Eggers dad is Blue Copper Maran X mom Wheaten Ameraucana. So will that lead to chicks able to be FS?
Also I have two chicks I hatched from my very Friendly RSL, same father. I have read that when you mix the SL the color of the chick no longer determines gender. Well both theses fuzz balls are white except for a small black dot. How ever if you where going by wings the youngest one definitely has the most growth.
One more question. Are leg feathers a dominate trait? All of the babies have fuzzy legs like dad.
