I have 25 hatch lings from my incubator. The father is a Amber-link, the mothers are all different breeds. How do you all feel about feather sexing? Is it accurate? I would love to know your opinions. These chicks were born labor day weekend.

I've tried feather sexing a group of 5 chicks before. It worked pretty well. It was accurate for 4 out 5 of the chicks (the one that wasn't accurate was an Easter egger who according to feather sexing was a hen but turned out to be a roo). So it was 80% accurate.

Feather sexing only works on chicks produced from putting a fast feathering male over a slow feathering female. It also has to be done within the first few days.
