Gimley is a 4 1/2 month old golden cuckoo Marans roo. Some of you might remember him from my post about his spraddle legs as a baby. His legs are fine now BTW. He is starting to look all grown up and beautiful now, but he is a dork. I picked him up a couple of days ago and noticed his breathing sounded funny. I thought the worst until I examined him closer. It wasn't an upper respiratory infection. He had a 2 inch feather shoved up his nose. I have no idea how he did that. OK, the feather is out now, but over the course of a couple of days I hav noticed that there seems to be a bit of drainage coming out of that nostril. He is active and eating good. It's not likely he has anything contagious. I think it is from irritation from the feather. Should I medicate or let it be for now.
