having a chicken d-day soon and want to keep the feathers. the feathers will be off pretty roosters.


how do i preserve them

I have a bunch of feathers I've collected over the years. Just put them in a vase & they will last forever.

I read on a Native American craft site that if you really want them bug free forever to freeze and thaw them 3 times before usage.

I freeze the ones my kids want to keep in ziploc bags for a while to kill any bad things that may be on them.
