I am new to raising chickens - We have 2 week old chicks in the basement. Their wings are developing and the yellow coat seems to be falling out. Is this a natural time for such or does our chicks have something wrong? Also, they are in a pin with straw as bedding, is this ok and also how much should we be changing hte bedding? Thanks

ours are about that age and they are getting their little feathers too. We have ours on newspaper and it is changed twice a day. Are you babies able to see any sunshine down there in the basement?
