Featherless chickens - can they make it in colder weather?

Oh yeah, that's what I meant. :) I read somewhere it's a good source of protein for the chickens and that it can be included in the chick's diet. I haven't realized the second meaning of quark. :D
Yes, it is in small amounts. But for your rescues I would not introduce too much of new feed at the same time as chickens are quite sensitive to feed changes and even more so when molting.

Definitely, that's a good point. I was aiming to use the feed mix mostly and not do any big diet updates until they fully recover, just a bit every now and then.

If you have a suitable feed, they will be fine with feed and water and nothing else.
Really, a "complete" feed has that name for a good reason!
