Feathers broken above tail?

I noticed two or 3 of my hens have feathers right above their tails that seem to have been broken off. The only rooster I have is a little bantam cochin. He does jump on them and this is were he tries like heck to hang on. lol. I was thinking maybe he was breaking their feathers.

What do you think? I have checked for mites and lice and haven't seen anything. Not that I really know what to look for.

since he's so small he's probably really hanging on tight, maybe you should get the girls aprons they seem to really help. google chicken aprons and you should be good to go.

I've read that they can break their tail feathers if the roost is too crowded or close to the wall. Just my first thought.
