Feathers broken and white scales?

10 month old Ru. Stands puffed up. Eats and drinks. No interest in hens. No other Ru. Broken feathers at base oftail feathers and white something on feathers. Used GS to dust without relief. Please help.

no the bird is just going thru the molt
all feathers have a hiteish shat on them when they come out of the foilcle hole in the skin

the birds sometimes try to reach the shaft to peck it off
very normal birds
just make sure they have the prpbiotic recipe to eat

2 qts of dry crumbles
4 qts of milk either sweet or sour
1/2 cup of plain non flavored yogurt

feed 3-4 tbsp per day to them
keep unused mix in frig
or cut the mix down to what is needed

besure their protein is high enough
cut the corn outr as it is only 9% protein
it would be better to feed whole oats( 11% protein) and granite git for grinding the oats
whole oats are one of the best feeds going
along with your commercial protein crumbles
