Feathers changing color is normal??

The feather changes the color depends on the which food that you give to your chickens
Not true... fetaher color is dependent upon genetics and has no impact on color from what you feed.

The article posted has some interesting information and also some REALLY bad advice. Not all of it though. We always must weed through the good and the bad and use what makes sense to us, forget the rest.. but staying alert to be open for learning something new. You never know when you will have that aha moment.

Most our formulated rations are already made of corn or wheat... you do NOT need to add these in for "variety". Giving each of your hens a handful of corn is asking for fatty liver syndrome, poor feather quality, and likely reduced immunity.

I did take the time to look up amino acids in rice... it was found they are there but deficient in many...

Use your own best judgement, always! Take no ones' word (not even mine) without researching the claim yourself.

The reason rice is traditionally eaten with legumes is to create complete proteins. Consider the civilizations that were founded and are sustained on a diet of rice and other food: pan Asia, India, Mexico, central and South America and even the American South. Rice isn’t stylish right now but that doesn’t make it lacking in very good nutrition.
