Feathers & entrails...

Did you see any tracks at the kill site? This is a much more sure way of determining who did the deed.

Jim

There are no visible tracks as it's all mowed grass in a half acre yard, surrounded by a 6' privacy fence. I'm thinking hawk? But would it take the time to strip out the entrails?? Or a neighborhood cat?

Sounds like a cat but i do not know if they could eat all the bones.
sorry for your loss

Thank you both for your help... That's really what we thought it was but didn't want to start pointing fingers until we had a better idea.

Now what to do about the neighbor's cat!?! There are several in the neighborhood; we don't even know who's whose  making it difficult to approach the owner about it. Can I just say, I will never understand why it's socially acceptable to allow your "pet" cat to roam the neighborhood! :/ It sh*ts in my (front) yard and digs up my flowers...now it's gone way to far. My animals don't physically encroach on anyone else's property; I really don't appreciate it from others. Any one with words or wisdom or advice on the matter?
