He is going through a HUGE molt right now however, alot of his feathers are falling out too easy and I noticed a common coloring among all of them. The shafts are a weird dingy yellow and hollow and the feathers that are not falling out have nice strong white shafts. There are more yellow ones than white healthy ones.
Has anyone seen this before? He had this prior to the molt so i do not think it is related. Can this happen if he was given too much antibiotics in his lifetime? It almost seems as if the feather is dead. Yellow, hollow shaft and the feather which should be bright black, is now a dingy grey. If so, what would make a feather 'die' like this?
