Feathers growing out of comb?

i posted this the other day but i guess no one saw it so ill try again! i have a Speckled Sussex chick who is 2 1/2 weeks old and it has little feathers growing out of the top of its comb! ive never had this happen before with any of the chicks ive raised, so is this a problem? or is it just funny genetics

Ok that's weird!

That's definitely feather growth. I think you have a chick with a genetic fluke.

I'm curious how big they'll get. Thats pretty unique! I've never seen anything like that. The only weird feathers I've had are one to two feathers growing out of the end of toes on a smooth legged breed.

Yeah guys im just as fascinated and confused as y'all are lol, as long as there is no health issues i hope it stays and the others dont pluck them out of it because it might look cool
