My rooster has grown one long single feather out of one point of his red comb. 3 cm long. White poofy feather. Just the one.
The rooster is over 18 months old and has been crowing for many months. The feather just grew fast a week ago. It looked like a wispy cobweb stuck to his comb. when I tried to pull it off while roosting at night, it felt firmly fixed to the comb and seems to be a feather. Most surprised.
