Feathers stuck together, how to fix?

One if my chickens has some feathers stuck together on her back, so instead of being nice full feathers they’re skinny looking! Not sure if this was something to do with her being out in the heavy rain the other day...

Anyway, would me washing them help it would I be better just leaving her to sort them out in case I damage them?

A picture would help to clarify what you mean by stuck together. You can’t lightly get them apart with your fingers? Every time my girls get a feather out of place they always seem to get it out while preening themselves before bed, I’ve never had to intervene for out of place feathers

Getting it wet again would not likely help.
