Feathers??

So most of my hens are getting this dark stuff under there wings and im not sure if its feathers or not..is this bad or good?

Can you get a close-up shot of one of the areas? While this photo makes it hard to tell, I would imagine it should be fairly easy to tell whether or not it is feathering by examining the bird in person - have you done that by holding the bird and getting a good close look at the areas in question?

yes if you hold the bird and see feathers sprouting don't worry about it. try to get a close pic
