Feature Request: Allow multiple authors on an article

Is this possible?

I'll be working on a collaborative article, and would really like if my co-author's username/URL could be added under Author in Article Information, and have the article populate in both of our "Published Articles" list. After all, it is joint content.

This would be a cool ability to have. Collaborative works are super common in academia and the like.

Do you have an example article already that you would be interested in having collaborators on? Can you provide a link for me to test?

Would you want everybody to be able to edit it or just specific members?

Here’s a link to the draft, and I’m fortunate that my collaborator is able to edit as a mod:

Ideally, it would be nice if any collaborative authors could edit the same article, with the agreement to “stay in your lane” and not freely edit one another’s words without prior agreement.

It looks like this is a per category setting option.

I'm tempted to enable this on all categories. I could enable this on all categories, but I don't know what the unintended consequences are, so I got a noodle on it a bit.

Oh, this is cool!

I get being apprehensive about turning it on without knowing more about what could happen. I tend to think in worst-case scenarios.
