O sorry forgot to ask..today are the actual due date for all my chicks but the others came a little bit early.. Is it posible for the other 12 to stil hatch if they didint start to pip het? All 12 are full eggs

Yes they have a good chance. I have had them hatch as late as Day 23.

Hey everyone! 22 Buff Orpington eggs went on lockdown an hour ago.

I didn't candle this time around. Too paranoid about temps, but they felt...heavier and fuller. If that makes sense.

It was cool to see them roll around when I transferred from the turner. I heard they naturally roll to put the right side up to help the chick hatch. Except when it started to get full they kept rolling into each other.

Now I can't sleep...

good luck- but you better get some sleep while you can- if you think you're excited now- wait to you see pips! Then you really CAN'T sleep!

Day 21 for me and I woke up to 2 chicks hatched. Pips in another 4 of them. As the day went on I had a bunch more pip and right now I have chicks popping out all over the place. Out of 17 eggs set I had 100% fertility and so far 7 have hatched and pips in 7 more.

Roxanne I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. My Lav. Ams and GSBR went into lockdown this morning too. Hopefully the cold temp will just make them hatch late. Do you have any caulk around? Maybe you could fill the hole with that?

Is the hole one of the drainage holes? Mine have holes in the bottom to allow water that drips into the bottom of the bator to get out.

Thank you all for the info.. I'm stil full of hope so ill leave them to see what wil happen.. But at this moment stil nothing of the last 12 they are very bigs eggs this last 12 so maybe that's the reason I hope
