Before anybody wrote back & slightly lifted the big piece & it just fell off, but I don't see any wriggling anymore, I don't hear her either. I don't think lifting the loose piece hurt her, but do you think she quit? She was working so hard!! I saw the egg moving, I could see her moving around & now nothing How long should I wait? I'm bummed

. I won't help any others!!! Scouts' honor!! PLEASE tell me she quit on her own!!!!

she might just be taken a break for a bit its alot of work for lil chicks so give her/him time and lets us know if anything new happens

Well speaking of babies... I could not stand it so I was looking around on the auction sites and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! while I was looking a lady posted 7 eng choco orp chicks! 2 are 4wks old, 1 roo & 1 pullet- 2 three wk olds, 2 two wk old and a 1 wk old AND I JUST HAD TO BUY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was selling b/c she lost her parent flock the other night to predators. She said she just didn't have the heart for them anymore. I'm sorry she lost them, but soooooooooooooo happy I got the babies!
And the lady I ordered the eng lav orp chicks mailed them today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gonna be over run with chicks b/f the week is out

Yaay, I now have a pretty good sized cheering section, I can almost hear you guys. Day after tomorrow, hoping to see a pip or two towards the evening.

Well speaking of babies... I've only seen pictures of those..and they were selling eggs..they were pricy, soooo....oh well, they were gorgeous. Waiting for pictures on those too. Should be getting some pretty nice pictures on here soon. Chaauk...lut.. trying to spell that so it looks like it sounds in the Nestle commercial..hope that was allowed!

I was candling my eggs tonight. This is day 11 of my first ever incubation.could see the big dark spot (the eye) and it turned and and moved closer to the light and I could see the outline of it's little beak. I kept watching and I think I saw his feet. I was so excited. All 6 are really active. Hang in there little guys, we are about half way there!

You and I have nearly the same hatch date! Mine should be one day before yours! Come on babies!
