Sweet!! You're gonna need another coop!! You can probably get one of those on ebay too! LOL
tongue2.gif
I'll have you to know that I AM getting a new coop from ebay this week- should be here any day

I can just hear you giggling all the way over here!

I've only seen pictures of those..and they were selling eggs..they were pricy, soooo....oh well, they were gorgeous. Waiting for pictures on those too. Should be getting some pretty nice pictures on here soon. Chaauk...lut.. trying to spell that so it looks like it sounds in the Nestle commercial..hope that was allowed!
I did buy eggs, and yes they were pricey- IF I get chicks it would be worth it- but so far w/ me only having 1 chick hatch successfully, DH said to try to buy the chicks from the breeds I want most- it's cheaper than paying for eggs that I get nothing from

So I did buy the lav orp chicks ( I've had 2 sets of those eggs, no babies) & now the choco orp chicks. As I said I do have 3 eggs in lockdown (out of 10 ordered) Atleast this way I will have birds to get my own eggs to hatch from

I agree with PugBug & gapeach. :) The hardest part is waiting and not knowing... we completely understand.

Ok, these questions are not meant to be harsh... just to give the rest of us a general overview of what's been going on. I sure hope the rest of your hatch goes well!

Yes, there is still hope!

First, what kind of incubator are you using?
How many times have you opened the incubator since lockdown?
What were your temperature/humidity readings before you opened the incubator?
What were the reading immediately after closing?
What are the readings now?
How many eggs do you have incubating? (was it just 3 that you mentioned, or are there more?).
Have any of the other eggs pipped? (Do you hear any internal chirping? Are there any cracks on any of the other eggs?)

Next, you need to sit on your hands... do not touch the incubator. Try to relax. Read a book, go to the grocery store for some wine... or go soak in a nice hot bath. Whatever it takes.

My opinion is that you will need to give it time. Waiting for the hatch is the hardest part! Trust me I know... it's super stressful, and I'm pretty sure it causes ulcers. LOL.

We're pulling for you!

DIY- bator & hatch box due to staggering hatches (I will never do that again!) will attach pics.
Since lockdown I only open to put in another or allow a small crack to adjust humidity.
102 degrees/75%-when open
100degrees/60%-after closing
102 degrees/72% humidity now
I have 5 in the "Hatch Box" since they have different lockdown days. I have 10 total due this month; 5 next month (on the same day!)
None of the others have pipped. 2 were/are due today, but I thought this one was due tomorrow!

We really hope she's resting!!! Thank you everybody for helping us! This is our 1st homeschool science project

Well speaking of babies... I could not stand it so I was looking around on the auction sites and OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! while I was looking a lady posted 7 eng choco orp chicks! 2 are 4wks old, 1 roo & 1 pullet- 2 three wk olds, 2 two wk old and a 1 wk old AND I JUST HAD TO BUY THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She was selling b/c she lost her parent flock the other night to predators. She said she just didn't have the heart for them anymore. I'm sorry she lost them, but soooooooooooooo happy I got the babies!
And the lady I ordered the eng lav orp chicks mailed them today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on your babies coming!!!

I am removing eggs tomorrow. I know for a fact some are infertile and one is dead (blood ring is very obvious). Going to tuck the ones along the edge into those spots so they are all even.

Wish me luck on building TWO home made incubators tomorrow!!!

I just ordered a dozen more eggs to hatch! They are Serama's. They are shipping out late next week, which is perfect, because my eggs in the 'bator should hatch on Wednesday!

My hubby feels the same way. I have had only one hatch from my two batches. Next batch due to hatch next week. I haven't candeled them since I put them in and I am very nervous. So I bought some friends for my one baby I hatched! Icouldnt stand her being lonely.
