YA'LL AINT'T GONNA BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have A CHICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it did it ALL BY IT 'S SELF!

See now I have discovered the secret to hatching successfully- don't even look in the direction of the bator

This is hatch #7 and I finally got a chick that came out all by it's self. And egg #2 has pipped about 2 hours ago. Nothing yet from #3, but I have HOPE AGAIN!

Ya'll have no idea how good it feels after all this time to have it go right! I was about to give up on the whole hatching process-

Yay! I'm so happy for you! What have you named her? She needs a super special name......maybe "Hope"

This is one of 7 pipped. Have 11 BCM's and 11 White Marans in two bators. One of the bators is an LG, which I hate, but lo and behold, I hear chirping coming from behind that shell!

Here are pics of my little home grown fuzzys LOs and some black part english Orp x Buff Brahmas im calling mine Brahmingtons! Just got them out of the bator
The Brahmingtons are both black .figures DAd is . Now i have 6 black chickens all part engish orps of diff sorts and one lonely splash

5 hatched.... one more i am assisting been zipped all day..Some of the membrane is rock hard.on him Letting it soften before itring further
.Cant i ever have ONE hatch without an assist?
Here are the fuzzies minus one for this hatch 2 more eggs to hatch tomorrow too and then 5 in 4 days So far 100 % wil have hatched (if i get assist baby out alive (He is for now.)





LOs "portrait" and "Brahmington"s(Orp x Brahma ) portriat Camera is so sucky and the photographer (me) is pretty sucky at it too

Everybody looks like they are doing great! Congrats!!! Since this is my first hatch & a staggering hatch at that- my days were off- 2 came a day early. I thought maybe they would all be early, but nothing today. The next one is trchnically due tomorrow.... I wonder what will happen my 2 babies are so sweet!!

I do staggered hatches too. I use the big bator for 1-18 days (I write on the calender the date/#of eggs& type, the date of lockdown for each & hatch day for each) then day 18-hatch I move them to my small bator.
