Locked down my Lav Amercaunas this morning
Was thrilled that shipped 6 of 8 look really good.!!4 days to see what i get!
Came in just now and the temp was 75!!!!! Humidity was 89!!
Some how the thing got unplugged as the cord runs across the door way .They felt COLD.
Soon as i saw i moved them to a regular bator running but i think its to late since they felt cold already and that is really close to my room temp 71 .
7;15 now.
i checked the humidity about 5
Think i would have noticed low temp then so 2 hours.?BUT i might not have looked as it has runs so steady always and was 100.1 this morning.
I wouldnt be terribly worried any other time of hatch as they can get cold when mama hen gets off for hours they say sometimes.... but on lockdown?????
My head hurts.!
I was SO looking forward to these chicks
I have 3 already but only one hen and want more .
They are the most calm chickens only calmer is my Light Brahmas GGRRGGRRR
Well..see what happens
Im not the first this happened too i know!. Rather be sympathizing to someone else than have my own eggs cold! LOL

No no no!!!! Oh no!!! Lets pray it wasn't too long. And for a miracle! I know eggs cool insanely fast but maybe they were not "cold" for too long!!!!

I think it's been all day. I thought I seen it at 100, got home this afternoon and checked it and eggs feel very warm/if not hot and temp was over 106 and nothing is moving. I should have a 99 lumens light coming tomorrow. Will check them again with that one. Blah.

Yeesh, bad news everywhere today . Hope everything else does alright and hopefully those cool eggs bounce back. They are tough little buggers so don't give up yet!

first Peach & now you! this is bad. I lost power in the middle of the night during the storm, have no idea how long b/c I slept through it- I put my 3 frizzle eggs in lockdown tonight anyway- I don't know what'll happen- and I think I'm down to just 1 of my call duck eggs! Only that 1 is moving-

And some jack-bunny-butt outbid me on some eggs I wanted a while ago!. My bator is nearly empty- just 3 call duck eggs in there- but only the 1 showing movement. lockdown from duck eggs is next Tues. Guess I leave the other 2 eggs till them, just in case

I am sitting here with 25 eggies waiting to pip. Can't cry over what is left of my scrambled eggs tonight! Gonna get my third LG this week and I'll be a lot happier.....and wiser.
