Those bigger chicks can hold temps longer in the egg that the smaller embryos. Don't give up faith, the eggs in my incubator were cold and temp was 74 in mine. I had quite a few hatch from those eggs.
Locked down my Lav Amercaunas this morning
Was thrilled that shipped 6 of 8 look really good.!!4 days to see what i get!
Came in just now and the temp was 75!!!!! Humidity was 89!!
Some how the thing got unplugged as the cord runs across the door way .They felt COLD.
Soon as i saw i moved them to a regular bator running but i think its to late since they felt cold already and that is really close to my room temp 71 .
7;15 now.
i checked the humidity about 5
Think i would have noticed low temp then so 2 hours.?BUT i might not have looked as it has runs so steady always and was 100.1 this morning.
I wouldnt be terribly worried any other time of hatch as they can get cold when mama hen gets off for hours they say sometimes.... but on lockdown?????
My head hurts.!

I have 3 already but only one hen and want more .

Grandpa is home now! He got out the next day! He loves him so much! I didn't take Dark Wing to see him today cuz it was raining all day but I did let all the ducks swim in warm water in my kitchen sink! They loved it.

I love polish chicks too! I have three polish hens myself! I want some chicks tooI love Polish Chicks. Here is one of my new babies.

Glad someone has good news today
It's hatched! It's doing well except for the huge egg yolk to absorb! Gee, you would think there were two yolks in there. I have been watching it to make sure it doesn't pop! It is walking around now, doing the paddle walk..here are some pictures of the first few that hatched, separate from my OE's..well one is an OE, nice dark egg..from a friend here..RED111
