February 2023 hatch-a-long

Pics
The one BO (shipped I though was blood ring looked okay last I looked. I will keep an eye on it. It is the biggest egg, I don't think it is a double.) One of the Welsummer eggs looked like it was leaking, (not sweating like a cold egg put in a warm incubator, but egg contents, IDK it was dried thick something.) I put it in a separate incubator. One egg still had a loose air cell.

I am on day 3 for my shipped and one of my hen's eggs

I have more from my hens eggs but waited until today to set them, hoping for one more hold out hen. no luck I do have this little egg in for less than one day it has 2-3 love dots all ready. I don't see multi yolks, and the dots are close together. I am going to keep incubating and see what happens. The egg is small and from a spitz. (IK if it's a double, it may not hatch.) I just want to watch it grow.

First picture, what is that ring thingy?

My clutch of 27 eggs are on Day 9 now. I candled this evening and found *maaaybe* one quitter, and 26 developing nicely!! :fl I know the flashlight bothers them, but I found it fascinating to watch them wiggle. My new incubator setup is working out so far, temp and humidity are holding steady. I'm not very confident about the turner, though. It doesn't turn all of the eggs each time, just wiggles them. Maybe that's enough? I do manually turn them every night before bed, anyway. Fingers crossed..... 12 days to go!

YESS! On my day 4 candle, I saw something in one of the blue eggs move. Candled yesterday (day 7) and I saw in the same egg a HUGE thing that is probably a chick. The turner just wiggles mine too, but everything seems to be going fine. I hope all our eggs hatch, nice to hear that your new incubator setup is working good. 14 days to go! :fl
