I think it depends on the incubator. I have a NR360 I keep humidity around 65% and I don't drop the temp but it seems when humidity goes up temp drops.Thursday will be lockdown day for my chicks!!!! I'm getting excited!!! 14 of my 24 shipped eggs have babies moving aroundI've been reading conflicting articles on what the temperature and humidity should be. Some say the humidity should be 60 to 65 and others say 80%. Also, should the temperature be dropped for lockdown? Thanks everyone in advance.
Any peeps heard from it?Ok picked up the one that looked like it internally pipped to candle and heard a tiny little tap a couple times. Going to keep a close eye
No none yet. I can’t decide if I should do safety hole. It won’t be day 19 until 9:30pm tonight so seems early still to intervene.Any peeps heard from it?
She is so cute and tiny! Awesome you were able to help herHere's a pic of my last one to hatch. Her name is Tiny. She needed a full assist. Luckily, I made a safety hole before I realized she was malpositioned. She is very small and keeps trying to get under the tummy of the other chicks. Excuse her messy face, she just enjoyed some raw egg yolk.View attachment 3404051View attachment 3404052View attachment 3404053
I wouldn't do a safety hole unless you are 100% sure it has been about 24 hrs that it has been internally pipped. You should hear chirps if internally pipped. No none yet. I can’t decide if I should do safety hole. It won’t be day 19 until 9:30pm tonight so seems early still to intervene.
Perfect that helps me make the decision. I will wait. No chirps.I wouldn't do a safety hole unless you are 100% sure it has been about 24 hrs that it has been internally pipped. You should hear chirps if internally pipped.
