~12 hours into day 20 here. I have definite chirping coming from 2 of the 3 Marans eggs!
I thought I might be detecting movement in the single remaining Ameraucana egg, but it wasn’t obvious.
I was really starting to think I wasn’t going to get any chicks from this hatch. I’m very relieved to know that at least 2 of the 4 who made it this far are alive!
All four eggs are chirping away now. Whew! I can sleep easily tonight (well, maybe not, if the predicted severe weather rolls in later, but that’s a different issue).
I locked mine down today (19) and I swear I heard one chirp while I was moving them. My ears ring all the time though, so it could’ve been my brain wanting to hear one chirp.
Incubator in the bedroom was all fun until a sassy loud buff Orpington hatches and won’t stop screaming her head off.
2 jersey giants pipped
No pips on the svart hona or the aseel
Lost another Cemani egg today. So now I’m down to 4 Cemani’s and still 3 Cochins. They all look pretty good. Air sacks included. I hope thing keep going in a positive direction. I didn’t expect all the eggs to hatch…I mean they were shipped, so the fact that I have at least this many this far…I can’t complain…even if the accident didn’t happen…these could still have been my numbers.
