I put the eggs in lock down on day 18 Friday evening. Left Saturday for an overnight trip and come home today to 6 early birds. I also have at least 12 pips. Let the hatching begin! So far all have hatched from green eggs.

Tomorrow is the last day for turning and then it is lock down!! I am excited. But today our candler broke. So I wont be able to candle tomorrow evening before lock down. Oh well. We candled yesterday and all 8 in the incubator are doing wonderful still and the 3 my broody has are just as good. My broody has already gone into "lock down" mode. I can't get her to eat or drink now. Hoping she'll do good. She's done wonderful so far!

All sorts of Easter Eggers! EE's and Leghorns, EE's and Rhode Islands, EE's and Buff Orps. They are from a friends flock. I just had a broody hen and asked for a couple eggs and she brought a whole dozen over so I incubated the rest. My broody is a silkie. I had a couple silkie eggs for her but they weren't developing at all, so she is on some of the EE's now.

Ive got 11 going into lockdown tonight.... Here's hoping for good results

12 for me tonight. Lockin it up. 6 BCM over EE, 3 over RIR, 3 over BR
