Thanks, I've never heard that before. There is a company near my house that sells aluminum siding, and it comes in these long boxes that are framed with 2ftx4ft rectangles of 2x4s with 12 ft long 1/2"x3" and 1/2"x6" slats to brace the bottom. They pile them out by the dumpster, and it's first come, first serve. It has definitely saved me a fortune on coops over the last couple of years. It just takes a little elbow grease to strip them down. I've built some redneck chic lawn furniture, too.
I'm hoping these juveniles sell before they get big enough to lay eggs. This coop should be the final destination in the incubator, brooder, halfway house rotation
