I'm a newbie on the leg coloring thingy. Solo's legs are an interesting shade... Kind of a green tint to them. What breed is that indicative of?

The bird is pure white. Hatched out of a brown egg with puffy cheeks as a chick. Hatched out of a farmers market egg where they thought the hen was a RIR and the roo an Ameraucana, or so they thought.

cool...He did come out of a brown egg but I know there are EE on that farm but I have no idea what else is there.

I know...His eyes are so funny...they match my dog...She's got cats eyeliner too!
I'm not guaranteeing that's what it is, that's just my best guess. I have had EE chicks that look like that, and I saw EEs in your signature, so I thought maybe it was one of your own. That's my favorite marking on a chick. Looks like a little squirrel tail

Mine aren't laying yet... :( I have like 40 chickens now and they are all babies...

The little chick does have super cool markings...that's why i threw him up first. He's speedy too~ Like doing laps around the brooder. I know there is never a guarantee. I am not worried.

RIR X Ameraucana= Easter Egger
EEs typically have green/willow colored legs...
If female, it will lay a blue or green egg. :)

I had 4 chicks 7 years ago. Now I have 5 flocks for a total of 55 grown chickens, 24 chicks in 2 brooders, 20 developed eggs in the incubator, and Wednesday I will start collecting eggs for the next setting. You are on a dangerous road...

I'm on the same road. <sigh> Just figured out I might be able to turn an old dishwasher into an incubator. That'd be a step up from my Mini-Eco!! Please someone stop me! : ) And just inherited 6 more chickens from my boss to save them from the neighbor dogs that took 15-20 of the flock already! Nice birds.
