I'm on the same road. Just figured out I might be able to turn an old dishwasher into an incubator. That'd be a step up from my Mini-Eco!! Please someone stop me! : ) And just inherited 6 more chickens from my boss to save them from the neighbor dogs that took 15-20 of the flock already! Nice birds.

You can make incubators out of old dishwashers?!?! Ooooooooooh!!! Gotta look that up! (Like I need to have a bazillion eggs cooking at once.... But I can't resist!!!)

People make them with freezers and mini-fridges so why not a dishwasher? There's a thread on here with some people trying it, and one person posted a youtube link. I got an IncuKit to try and convert a mini-fridge, but here at work there's an old dishwasher thats been sitting just waiting for someone to haul it to the dump.... or my barn. : )

This is one of my feb 1 chicks...any idea what breed this could be? (Disregard his purpletoe...I painted it to make sure I know where he came from).

Hey there! We had a few similar, they were RIR/EE mixes, they had varying leg colors from green to orange and some with more eyeliner then others. I have a 2 week old who is feathering out pretty!

Today is day 18 for my silkies and seramas! I candled and put them all into lockdown this AM. I've had a little difficulty with my humidity but I'm hoping everything will go as planned. I have 25 eggs remaining out of the 31 I set.

Here's a day 18 silkie with what I hope/think is the eyeball and beak pressed against the shell?

My granddaughter wants to have a couple too, so that was the deal. I would hatch silkies from my brother-in-laws eggs to replace his aging flock and to have a couple for my granddaughter. Then I ended up only getting 4 to hatch. Not certain yet who will end up with these 4. Good luck with your hatch
