Humidity during lock down. 65%? Can it average 60-70% Or what are the averages?
I aim for 65% for lockdown, but it varies all the time. Sometimes if I have a long time between pips & zips it can decrease, but then again you get 4 or 5 pipping & zipping at the same time it can go way up to 80. All those wet chicks running around creates more humidity. It eventually drops as they start to dry. My best range for my incubator is 65-75%. That's were I have my best hatches. Every incubator is different & just the area you reside can make the difference with humidity. I've found trial and error to be the only successful way I figured mine out. Best of luck with your hatch.

Pips!!!  3 of 6 so far, 2 Jaers and 1 of the IABs!  And some peeps too.  Hope it goes well.  I'm between overnight shifts so can't just sit there and start at the bator all day, have to sleep.  I didn't think anything would start happening till tonight.  Guess I better get the brooder divided off now, they'll have room to grow into it.
Any fuzzy butts yet?

Wow, 3 pips at 11a and 3 chicks by 3:30p!! Not sure about the other 3 eggs, trying really hard not to mess with anything!

seems pretty consistent with what I have had in the past.... usually nothing till mid day 21. Like I said, day 21 starts later tonight...so I hope to see something come morning.

3 chicks and 2 more pips so far! Can't tell on the 6th egg, can't see all of it. It's taking them a while to dry off so the humidity must be up in there but I can still see them. They come to the front to say hi, too cute! I think I've got a female and male Jaer so far, and can't tell with the IAB. I could be completely wrong tho'. I'm just glad they seemed to have hatched fine so far. This is kind of fun!!
