wow, that's alot of chicks and eggs! That's what mine should look like...but nooo..they're biding their time

We've got 4 pipped and 2 zipping. Fun!

still waiting.... how long does this usually take? i cant see any more pips on any eggs, and "the sibling" has refused to crawl into a small smelly crate with a biting hen inside ever again. thank the lord i have 8 others to help instead.
to top it all off, the feed store only carried gallon ziplock bags filled with grower, not starter, and little bro managed to spill half of what we got in the car. can i get by with sugar water for the first few days?-the going mad

Goodness, I logged in just to see if anyone had any pips & look at all of those chickies hatching for everyone. It's a busy day out there! Great pictures everyone! Happy hatching!


Tanichca: I've seen some pip & hatch 10 hrs later, hang in there.

It's been 8 hours for me since I first saw the pips...still none out, but 2 are working away at it...and more pips are popping up. We've got 8 total.

We've got a chick, it just hatched

Got pics, but I'm exhausted. My 8 yr old almost burned down our shed playing with a lighter next to the hay. Beat it out with a blanket, neighbor got the hose. We're lucky we got it out...all of my birds (parrots, cockatiels, quail) are in there.
But the good news is we got it out, my son learned his lesson, and we had a baby hatch!

I turned mine for the last time last night, on lock-down, day 21 is Thursday. I swear I thought I saw a wiggler today, maybe two but it's hard to tell with them in the egg crate. This time I'm leaving them in the crate rather than on the side to see what happens.

Glad so many have had successful hatches.
