I hope for a good hatch too!!!

I haven't seen any movement of the cochin eggs yet (Day 19). Is this normal? I think I imagined the first wiggle. Before they went into lock down I listened and didn't hear any chirps or scratching. I candled the silkie eggs tonight and if I'm doing it right then only 4 out of 12 eggs look like they are good (the rest appear clear). If I'm reading the sellers marks right then those 3 of the 4 are white which was the only color I didn't want:(. I think if I do this again I will try and find someone local so I don't have to worry about what happened in shipping.

amberglas: Not to worry, I have never seen an egg move before hatching. Then again, my eyes are usually so blurry from staring to see a pip or two. Happy hatching!

Looked at the bator when I got up this morning and there was alittle water on the windows... my instructions book said to take 1 or 2 of the pugs out... the temp. is at 100. So I took 1 pug out.

Lock down was Tuesday night, I had my first two pips last night at about 11 pm. Ones out this morning and the other is still working on it. The one that is out is still wet, so it must have worked through the night to get out. A third pip this morning as well. They were'nt due to hatch until Friday, so they are a little early. I hope the others don't take long!

Well today is the start of day 20 and still no signs of life. I wonder do different birds take long. Mine are LF cochins. I would be happy if just one piped today.
