Wow I’ve had a busy couple days!
Trying to figure out lots of things for the weak little chick. Not looking good in my opinion hut husband has a soft heart and has already named the little one 😐
Set up a small cat carrier and a heat pad for him. The chick not the husband.

Set up the big brooder for the 8 healthy ones which I think they are enjoying tho it’s a bit cooler than where they were so hunkering under the brooder plate more. I used an old wardrobe laid down, removed one door and replaced with hardware cloth. Lined it with a rubber twin sheet and cardboard around the sides. Shavings and paper towel over for now. Doggo is obsessed with them.

My weak little chick finally took his own drinks of water today and ate some soft soaked chick feed. After syringe feeding soaked feed water and electrolytes for the last couple days. Might be hope! Although I am assuming he/she will never have feathers on her back and neck so not sure what we will work out for winters.
