February/March Grow-a-long

Pics
Y'all, I fell for it. The two Salmon faverolles now have eggs I'll let them sit on, one has 5, the other has 4, and the orpington still has 6. That's 15 chicks all together. And if you include my other ones, that's 25 chicks. AND, if you include my ducklings, that's 30 chicks. 😅.
Edit:
Any of y'all planning on having or hatching chicks in April? if so should I make a hatch-a-long/grow-a-long? I don't see one yet for April (Besides the easter one which I've already joined, but what i mean is other than easter, late/mid April hatches.)
Raise them for a few weeks, keep the best and sell the rest... there's a big demand for chickens right now, didja know?  :D

Yes, I have noticed many are wanting chicks and chickens where I'm at. I will for sure keep the pretty ones, as I'll be doing experiments on them once they start laying. Can't keep any more roosters though.

im suspicious about the maran cross in the front because… thicc legs.

First time with leghorns .. whoever said they’re flighty needs to assess this one, I had to carry her to her roost today. The others went up themselves just fine.

Sitting on my lap 🥰🥰🥰

Three of the chicks have been "visiting" with me as I am sitting on my chair in the run. They come by my feet so I pick them up, place them on my lap and stroke them. One even pecks my shoe to get my attention.

I picked up one antsy chick, and s/he kept fighting me. I brought it over to my chair, sat down, placed in on my stomach and brought my t shirt over the chick, like a little cave. It stopped fighting so I started stroking its back. Like a cat, it closed its eyes and relaxed. When I opened up the "cave" I kept stroking, and the chick didn't move.

I want them to be my friends, am working on it.
