I'm on day 3 here. Problems arose though. Around 1a.m. our breaker box fried and blew the transformer outside.... good thing in blew transformer or we wouldn't have a house atm. Anyway my incubator got down to 68 degrees for about 4 hours. I went and picked up a 4000 watt generator. Our landlord will not be fixing anything until Friday. Hopefully the eggs will survive.

Oh no on your Breaker box and transformer! Good thing you were able to get a generator. I think the eggs should be OK Their development might be a little later though. Hope they are OK.

My eggs are in!

I have three temperature gauges in there. The bottom of the 'bator is reading at 100F and the top is 99.1F. Hoping that since the eggs are in the middle they are really close to 99.5, I was kind of concerned this morning because the top thermometer was reading 100.9 so I adjusted it down. Hope I didn't already cook these eggs.

Humidity is reading right at 40%

Quick question, when I put the eggs in lockdown I stop turning them, right? Can I put them in a hatching tray at the bottom of the 'bator? I'm a bit confused on that.

My hubby is setting up a webcam so I can see the incubator from work.
Don't worry about the temp. It can go upto 104 and eggs will be fine. After day five they can take a bit more. Mine even reached 105 during the first five days , now its day 14 and they are still doing great. I have a lot of heat spikes since I am not using the thermostat. So don''t worry about the 100.9. You can stop turning the eggs on day 14. It won't hurt if you will but won't help either. Hatching tray is fine. Best of luck.

Don't worry. They will be fine. If they go below 20 it would have been disaster but your eggs are fine. I incubated my eggs on 16th of feb and then there was power failure for three days .I kept the eggs back on 23 and still they are developing. SO, I am sure your eggs are fine at 66.
