fed spaghetti for the first time

Nothing funnier than spaghetti - mine grab some and take OFF - it looks so dang FUNNY to me with that spaghetti hanging out both sides.....

mine just LOVE it!

One of my chicken's favorites too, elbows, noodles, curlies...all the pastsa...I normally snap my noodles in about 3 inch pieces before I boil it though and I always put some oil in the water so they wont stick together. The smaller peices make it easier for them but the will eat every single one!!

When I hold it up they bite off pieces, I was getting my fingers pinched while I was trying to get pics because I wasn't paying attention to how close they were getting. When I just feed on the ground I do break it up some but if I miss a piece it doesn't hurt them, they do play tug of war and have chasing games.

The first few times with my Barred Rocks was sort of crazy. They were shaking it and tossing it about. But then one or two started taking it in like they were old pros. Now they all seem to have the hang of it. Yes it is fun to watch them eating it.

My girls just love it. They go crazy. Another really funny thing was a little girl came over and wanted to see my chickens. Her mom had just given her a piece of string cheese. The chickens stole it from her, and the game of keep away was on. Talk about a real belly laugh. They just crack me up.

A chicken with neck stretched out in a full run , especially with anything dangling from the beak and a full court press running and squawking along behind her would make even Mona Lisa smile and the hardest heart crack up, lol!!
