Hello, i have been thinking of trying to hatch some quail of my own soon. I have just made my own DIY wine fridge incu. Everything seems to be going fine with it, i just cant seem to get the humidity past 55%. i'd like to get it higher for hatching but my pan is almost the size of the inside of the incu. Anyway what kind of feed do you feed newborns? Is there a gamebird starter and regular gamebird feed? What does most people do? thank you for your time.

Try adding wet sponges to the incubator to up the humidity level. The more sponges you add, the more humid it will get.

Quail need gamebird starter or turkey starter. Something with 24% to 28% protein. No chicken feed or chicken layer feed.

Thank you, i have added 5 total sponges, the kitchen yellow and green kind but i cant seem to get it higher than 50-60%

Put em in trays? Fill trays with water and put sponges in, some one had this idea too. The person filled up little jars with water and left them there to evaporate. You can also use water wigglers (people use em too. i don't know how though, sorry)
