So I changed to layer feed a few weeks ago. Same brand (ADM) as the chick food. The yard stinks so bad. I can't open my windows. šŸ¤¢
I thought it was just the excessive amount of dew in the morning not drying things out, but now I wonder if it's the food.
Has anyone found food that cuts down on the stink?
I'm an hour from TSC. Just a local farm store and an MFA nearby.

Did you check the mill date? Is the feed fresh? Does it look or smell off inside the bag? Does it look wet inside the feeder?
Looks and smells fine. No moisture at all. Milk date was end of July.

Is there any feed laying on the ground being kicked out of the your feeders? Any feed that is on the ground that gets moist is going to start stinking terribly.
I use a no waste feeder. Some spill is expected, but very little.

We keep them on grass and moved them yesterday. The new area is already fragrant. Yuck. I think I'll use my lunch break to find new feed. I'll keep this thread updated.
