Feed for diverse aged flock?! 6 weeks and 18 week ready for layer feed?!

I feed 20% protein Purina All Flock (Flockraiser) and free feed oyster shell and grit. When I have chicks, I add a no-tip dog bowl of chick grit (it's smaller). Containers are up high enough chicks may not get into it much. I mount the oystershell/grit container on a pallet behind my treadle feeder, there's various attachment options, just walk thru the feed store. Everyone eats the same thing - so much easier! Occasionally I fish out the wood chips or random poops, but they really don't poop in there much at all.

Thanks for answering. I wasn't sure if the starter/grower would have what the rooster needed as far a nutrients went. I would like the option of maybe baby chicks in the spring or summer. I have a rooster and hen that are Partridge cochins. Also 3 pullets that are 6 1/2 months old. I am feeding them layer feed at the moment mixed with starter grower. Just wondering if the rooster will be like the hens and only eat what he needs (the starter grower)?

Generally speaking, developing chicks need more of most nutrients (apart from calcium for laying hens) as a percentage of total diet than adult birds do. Adult birds simply eat more.
