I just hatched out 5 gorgeous little guinea keets and never even thought to ask what the heck I'm supposed to feed them. UGH!

Can they eat chick starter or do I have to go get something else for them?? They're so darn sweet!!!

Thanks in advance!

Laurie

I was told that, like ducks, keets can't handle the medication in chick feed. I feed mine game bird starter.

i have started many a keet on medicated chick feed, and 18 % at that, not even the 20% or 22% there suppossed to have, they will be just fine, by the way congrates on the hatch

Thanks! I just read to feed them medicated turkey feed. I feed non medicated chicken starter to my chickens so I'll start them on that.

I'm so excited! These guys are so adorable.

You can feed them whatever you are feeding the chicks if you have them with chicks, if not it is reccommended to feed them 26-28% protein either gamebird or turkey starter, depending on what is available to you.
