Hello all,
II've been away from the byc for a bit, glad to be back!!
Since my hens began laying (for a yeast 18 months) I have been going to a local mill and getting layer crumble, )100 pounds per 10 days)
TThis last time I was at a tractor supply store, so I figured I'd buy feed to save a trip to the mill. Since on the "store bought"feed, my girls production has dwindled off to nothing? Could the feed be that big of a differsnce? Nothing else in thier environment has changed, a little warmer weather, but not hot.

Could depend on the brand, how fresh it is and whether your hens like it. Chickens don't like change, but will adapt. I tried Dumor once and not a single bird would eat it. You should also compare ingredients and protein and fat content.
