Im gonna start them on duck starter crumb

then after a few weeks start to mix in grower pellets

then after 16 weeks start to mix in ornamental duck pellets and give oyster shell in a seperate bowl if i hatch a hen

OR

if i only hatch hens instead of ornamental duck pellets i will feed layer pellets and if i only hatch drakes i wont give oyster shell obviously..

does that sound OK?

Sounds great! When I was reading up on the different feeds you had out there, I was confused also. I came to the same conclusions as you did, but I'm not 100%. However, I would do the same... lol

if you have two girls, they will still need oyster shell even if they are on layer pellets... they need the extra calcium when they lay
