Feed Purina Flockraiser

They have a new Layena that is either 20 or 21 percent protein now. You need to ask for it.

By the way Cloverleaf, the mill in Spokane does not make it and we have to haul it in from the Portland, OR mill. (Rivergate Mill)

I'll have to ask for it. That's awesome that it's made in Oregon

BTW pips my Grandma said her two Runners that she got from you are doing great!

Flock Raiser only comes in pellet form here, as does Layena. I love Flock Raiser, it is more expensive though (about $3.50 extra a bag here).

I buy my feed in bulk, so my dealer told me it would only cost $1 more per bag for the higher protein feed. Hopefully it is compareable for you to buy retail. I think it would be cheaper to buy the higher protein than to buy the flock raiser and add calcium.

I'll have to ask again if they can get the pellets here yet....I've asked a couple of times at both places that I get it and they always say they can't. Maybe I should email the company ask them to make it available here.

I only feed Flock Raiser. I usually feed chicks 1 bag of Medicated Start &Grow (1 bag with 24 chicks lasts maybe 2 weeks) then on the Flock Raiser. It has more protein than the Start & Grow. I feed it to everybody. Hens, roosters, guineas, quail, etc... Oyster shell free choice

That's strange, because here, Flock Raiser is CHEAPER than layer pellets by a few dollars
