My DH & I raised a couple of pigs. They are now in the freezer. We had grain left over when they were butchered. He sad that we could feed it to the chickens. I say no. Can anyone settle a dispute for us?

I would give it to them as treats. Just a handfull scattered in their run will keep them busy for a while. I give mine about a handful twice a day for 11 grown chickens. Sorry if you lost. LOL

well tell your husband that he needs to fix the corn where it will not be eaten buy rats and mice
it is excellent for that

also as it is only 9% protein you would be feeding the chickens to be fat
that is what it did for the pigs

so there is a lot to say for how much corn are we tLKING HERE?

IT WILL NOT DO LAYING HENS ANY GOOD
they don't need the fat with summer here
and the commercial feed is first most ingredient is corn already
ARE YOU FEEDING CHICKENS FOR FRYERS?

IF SO THEY CAN USE IT WITH PROTEIN COMMERCIAL FEED AND GET BY OKAY

is the corn ground or on the cob?

answer these questions and maybe we can find a way to help you

any questions email me
