I read a thread yesterday talking about protien percentage in layer feed. I don't keep my bags when I buy feed so I don't know the percentage of protien in our normal feed. I am considering changing my feed since we want to start letting one of our broody hens hatch some eggs. We have one hen who recetly started getting her feathers on her back plucked out. Could this be a protien issue? She is lowest in the pecking order so I don't know how to tell the difference. None of our other hens get picked on by other hens.

I use an all purpose feed like Flock Raiser, it accomodates everyone. Layer has to much calcium for babies.......
