I have 2 Chickens that are about 3 months old and are eating finisher food and 4 chicks that range from about 8 weeks to 6 weeks. I was wondering if it is alright for the little ones to eat the older chickens' food? they keep doing it, no matter how many times we try to chase them away, and I just want to make sure it won't hurt them...

It's probably fine. The only real danger that I know if is feeding young chicks layer feed, because the extra calcium is harmful to their organs.

I had fed my old batch of chicks like that and they all turned out fine. Long as its not layer pellets it should be fine.

thank you both. I just wanted to make sure these silly little girls weren't going to get hurt by eating each other's food.
