I am feeding my hens Blue Seal Grower feed and was wondering if the pellet sized feed is to large for them? My hens are about 14 weeks old. They semm to be eating it. Just dont want them to choke on it.

I am not familiar with Blue Seal brand, but am surprised that it is in pellet form as a grower feed. Most starter/growers are crumbles.

However, at 14 weeks it should be OK for them to eat it. They eat larger things at that age if they are outside.

Oh yeah, no problems. If adult birds can swallow grapes whole, your babies at 14 weeks can eat pelets easily. I too am surprised at grower pellets. I wish they made those here.

They carry Blue Seal in PA. now? Used to be just a New England feed but I know they got bought out and with that usually comes expansion.
I no longer use Blue Seal myself but they should have no problem gobbling up the pellets. I have my 14 week olds on grower cumbles but I have seen them sneeking the big girls layer pellets wit no problems!
