About a week ago we bought a few chicks(layers) at the feed store. 2 of which are Buff Orpingtons...

1 BO chick has the correct comb

BUT

the other had a very wide pea-type comb but is also clean legged...

anyone know what it might be? I thought it might be a Buff Wyandotte, but not sure.
 
Yes- probably an Easter Egger. I have a young one that was supposed to be a frizzle Ameracauna, but she looks more like a BO every day, except for the greenish legs.

Buff Wyandotte and he has a Rose Comb it just don't have a spike on the back of the comb that's all....

I have a Buff Chantecler, but it's small compared to my Columbian Wyandotte. If it is larger than your other chicks, then my vote goes for Buff Wyandotte.

Hadn't even thought of a chantecler. What other rosecombed breeds are there that are likely to come in buff from a hatchery?
